The consultation is an opportunity to discuss your child's strengths, challenges, educational experiences, and any concerns you may have. We will listen carefully, review any relevant information you provide, and discuss possible next steps and recommendations.
Our consultations are suitable for parents and carers of children and young people who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), are awaiting an assessment or diagnosis, or require additional support at school.
Yes. A formal diagnosis is not required. We work with many families whose children are experiencing learning, communication, behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties, whether or not they have a confirmed diagnosis.
We support children with a wide range of needs, including:
- Learners who are neuro-diverse
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- ADHD
- Dyslexia
- Dyspraxia
- Dyscalculia
- Speech, Language and Communication Needs
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)

Consultations typically last between 60 minutes, depending on your family's needs.
This depends on your child's age and the purpose of the consultation. In many cases, the initial meeting is with parents or carers only, allowing you to speak openly. If it would benefit your child to be involved, we will discuss this with you beforehand.
You may wish to bring:
- School reports
- Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
- Educational Psychology reports
- Medical or therapy reports
- Examples of schoolwork
- Any questions or concerns you'd like to discuss
Following the consultation, you will receive personalised advice based on your child's individual needs. This may include recommendations for educational support, school placements, interventions, assessments, reasonable adjustments, or referrals to specialist services.
Yes. We can help identify potential barriers to learning, discuss strategies to support your child, and advise on working collaboratively with schools to ensure appropriate support is in place.
Absolutely. We can discuss mainstream, specialist, and alternative education options, helping you understand which setting is most likely to meet your child's needs.
Many parents feel overwhelmed when navigating SEND support. Our role is to guide you through the process, helping you understand your options and develop a clear plan for moving forward.
Yes. Following your consultation, you will receive a written summary outlining the key points discussed, recommendations, and suggested next steps.
Yes. Everything discussed during the consultation is treated confidentially and in accordance with data protection regulations. Information will only be shared with others where you have provided your consent or where there is a legal safeguarding obligation.
Yes. Many families choose to access ongoing support, which may include follow-up consultations, training, or coaching for parents.
